You can now create Instagram posts yourself on Instagram

Instagram is now finally allowing professional accounts to prepare social media posts. This means that if you don’t have time to manage your Instagram until 12pm, you can prepare your posts for more popular times. The goal is to make the feature available to everyone.

Prepare Instagram posts

With the new function you can not only prepare posts for walls, but also reels and carousels. So you can do a lot on your own, but we’re missing one important factor: the story. It’s not possible to prepare a story, so you still need to make sure you can post at a certain time. Still, it’s already a big leap forward: ‘rostering’ posts on Insta has always only been possible with third-party apps.

At the moment this is only possible if you are a ‘creator’ or an organization on Instagram. Then you can already prepare your posts for your wall, which means you can, so to speak, free up a few hours every month to prepare all the posts. Apart from that, you don’t have to worry about it: however, it is definitely important to communicate with your audience. However, you no longer have to worry about posting too late in the day, as you can now easily prepare them yourself on Instagram.

Schedule social media posts

Like to check your Instagram once every two months? Although this is definitely not recommended, because you want to stay relevant, it is possible. Instagram allows you to prepare posts, reels and carousels up to 75 days in advance. For live videos, it was already 90 days. If you want to try it out, if you have a company or creator account, you can make a post as usual, go to advanced settings and then click ‘assign this post’. Then you yourself choose a date and time and you can prepare your creation for the next moment.

You can see all your scheduled posts in the ‘Scheduled Posts’ section, so you can make any adjustments if needed. If you’ve downloaded the latest Instagram app update and still can’t do it, you probably don’t have a creator or business account. No man overboard: You can still prepare posts using, for example, Buffer or Planoly, which are apps that can post anything outside of Instagram to your Insta. However, the intention is that everyone will be able to do this soon, but we don’t know yet.
